A Big Thank You.

I won’t rattle on like one of those over friendly students collecting your bank details for Amnesty International with their wide eyes and fast pens in Covent Garden, but I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who put together auctions/sales/artworks/donations for the Mercy Centre, it means so much to the people who live and work there as well as all of the kids, if anyone is passing through Bangkok or just coming on holiday you would be more than welcome to swing by and see just how amazing this place is, and that Jon and I don’t spend all of the money on crack.

Sexy Ladies by the Big Geezer Galo. RELEASED

So we’ve got meaningful, we’ve got political, we’ve got the weird and wonderful, but where’s the sexy and who the hell do we find to paint sexy? An Italian with a pony tail and a moustache of course, who does porn better? Galo, a veteran of the World Wide Graffiti scene has been painting graffiti for years, and not just the ''I did a stencil once on my parents garage '' years but proper on the streets all over the place years.

Update 26/4

What a mad month, we've had Olympic Torches, Dread locked artists working till dawn, new stickers stamps and sports wear?!?!, shipping mayhem, lost animals, found animals, afternoons by the pool, evenings in the dog house, people flying in from every corner of the world and somehow managed to find time to produce some cracking new editions.

New pieces this month include, Kate Westerholts 'Charlie Don't Surf' , MAU MAUs 'Don't Care Bear' and 'Portrait' we'll let you know well in advance what days these will be released on.

All of the Money Bees are shipped and well on their way, though due to mad paper work the Blurry Mary's are still with our shipping company but soon to be on their way.

Money Bees by MAU MAU. SOLD OUT

Mau Mau's left us a small edition of 25 canvases entitled Money Bees, Stencil on Gold and Gloss black canvases measuring 30cm by 40cm, they are £125 + £10 shipping, if you would like one please pop me a mail at kate@souledoutstudios.co.uk

a

Blurry Mary Shipping update.

All prints were signed, numbered, packed and delivered to our shipping company last week and are waiting to be cleared once they have been cleared delivery will take 5 days. Very sorry for the wait I blame the Torch Relay.

a

Vandal version 1.0

We rocked the Mercy centre today with Mau-Mau and were proper shocked how our young vandals are progressing, the little buggers even have an exhibition coming up in a fat gallery later this year....... no shit they are good!

a

Blurry Mary SOLD OUT

We will release Beejoir's Blurry Mary print today, a limited edition print of 125 signed and numbered screen prints on Duratran. Priced at £250 + World wide flat shipping in a wonderful wooden creation.

These are not cheap but this is due to the huge production costs and not down to us wanting to buy big gold chains and Cristal.

On another note both MAU MAU and Galo are out with us this month working on 5 new editions, so lots more beautiful art on its way soon.

a

Home Sweet Home.

After two weeks of icy winds and hangovers we are all back home to the relative calm of the Souled Out Studio. For those of you who are waiting for prints, or need to return damaged ones I'll be dealing with it this week, I'm so very sorry for the delay.
After the back log of prints has cleared we will be releasing the following in no particular order.

Mau-Mau's Little Red Riding Hoodie. It will be a lighter version than the Leonard st Canvas and can be seen painted on a wall in Braunton, its a beautiful image that’s been seen and adored by millions over the years, see www.mau-mau.co.uk for a peek. His second print will be the 'Don't Care Bear' which is also being shown at The Leonard St show.

Kate Westerholt has churned us out a nice new not very grandma friendly cross stitch that will be made into a fully fledged needle and thread edition.

Beejoir will be releasing the Blurry Mary Duratan piece, of which the five artist proofs can be seen at The Leonard st Gallery, this will be of an edition of 125 prints only.

Cyclops will also be visiting sometime soon along with a few other new faces.

Thanks to everyone who attended the show and I hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did.

a

Souled Out

Kate, Jon, Chris and just about all of the artists featured on Souled Out Studios will be in London this week for the opening of Souled Out, Please RSVP at The Leonard St Gallery for the Preview.

a

Lies orders.

First off, a huge sorry to everyone that had to be refunded, I never thought we would have this much demand for a print let alone the best part of 400 orders in 5 seconds. Everyone who has not been refunded by now has a print, anyone who still wants one there will be 75 available at The Leonard st at the end of next month along with some glorious art, music and booze. Orders were refunded in sequence so the first 75 people got one, again I'm very sorry if you were refunded.

All prints will be shipped out in about a week.

Oh and please stop the hate mail, we're not Argos, Amazon or even that special.

Kate x

LIES

The LIES print by Beejoir will be released in two editions (pink/red) one will be sold through us and the other through The Leonard St Gallery.

Release dates are as follows:

Souled Out Studios 31th Jan around 4pm UK time(RED)

At the next Leonard st Gallery Exhibition End of Feb(PINK)

Editions are 75 of each and are priced at 75 pounds, this will be the last traditional screen print edition on paper from Beejoir for quite some time.

a

Other news......................

Kate Westerholt, Cross Stitcher magazines cover girl turned up a couple of weeks ago in a blaze of glory, missed flights and lost luggage but is now hard at work on some new editions as well as originals for the coming Leonard St Show. We will be producing our first non paper edition with her so get ready for some filthy cross stitch your grand mother won't dig.

We had a load of charity cash left over for the Mercy Center that needed to be used up so we hooked them up with a Christmas bounty of art supplies, 30 boxes of paint/pens/pencils that go towards maybe one day creating some proper little vandals.

a

The last prints of 2007!

Two classics from Mau-Mau - Business Heads, a slightly sinister but comical take on corporate big wigs who attempt to control our everyday lives, and Whack Donald who needs no real introduction.

To find out more about Mau-Mau please check out www.mau-mau.co.uk alternatively if your in Bristol tonight pop down to Bridwell police station to see his cell. www.12daysofxmas.co.uk
He will also be exhibiting alongside Beejoir in London/LA/Berlin next year.

For more information on these and many other prints please click here.

Released K-Guy TR*ASH Prints.

We have 4 prints from K-Guy up for sale this week, please check the Prints page for more info.

Please note that Buy it Now buttons have now been added to the individual prints pages, click on to the framed prints to purchase, view detailed photos and edition info.

Whats been up?

First off we have had a little tidy up, the site is not quite as disgusting as it has been over the past year it might also fit most browsers now without looking like its been in a blender.

Some buy it now buttons will be added to the prints page, we really hope that they work, but please note that if there's no buy it now button its not for sale or out of stock.

If you want to have a ganders at the old home page its been copied to the Archive, this we will do every year until Jon and I finally crack and one of us hurls the other off a cliff. Thank you to everyone who supported and helped us this past year it really has been amazing.

What's been up over the past few weeks; well MAU-MAU came out to visit - we took him to the beach - got a good dose of sunburn - had a mad Souled Out Studios party/exhibition with 500 people - painted a few walls - met the police - and finally knocked up three very different prints for you ( none of which are for sale yet but you can have a peek and decide if you like them or not).

We also hooked up the Mercy Centre Charity which was amazing and will carry on working with them this year. They are doing such a great job in very tough conditions. Also a big thank you to those of you who donated money or sponsored a child, its money very well spent indeed (photos to come).

Our Plans for the next 12 months include.......

A few prints by K-Guy, Beejoir, Mau-Mau will be released before the end of Jan.

A Show at The Leonard St Gallery by Beejoir, Mau-Mau, Cyclops and Kate Westerholt at the end of Feb.

A show in US with any luck (summer time).

A show in Germany (October for some reason).

Some Treasure Hunts of epic proportions.

Lots of new artists and World Peace.
